Island in the sun

Sanibel Island is one of those serene, sun kissed islands tucked away in Gulf of Mexico off the western coast of the Florida peninsula. I’ve always believed that a good holiday is one spent among people whose notions of time are more vague than yours, and a holiday in Sanibel Island is just that. Miles and miles of unspoiled beaches, bike trails, wildlife and fauna parks that bring you closer to nature.

As for the ocean, its as blue as they were in your dreams with fishes of every hue and names, most of which you probably never heard of. They have a saying that the ocean here has no memories, a warm place with no memories, what else do you wish for the settings of an idyllic holiday.

Sanibel Island has aesthetically provided for tourists with a range of Sanibel hotels from resorts, hotels, small inns to country cottages to a number of RV and camping parks. Also there is a range of fine dining experiences with exotic cuisines in a cluster of restaurants spread over the island.

Katrina Kaif appreciated for look in Mere Brother Ki Dulhan

Actress Katrina Kaif has been constantly experimenting with her looks right from the time she debuted in Bollywood with Boom. From the ultra sexy avatar in Tees Maar Khan to the desi bahu look in Raajneeti, Katrina has carried each one of her get ups with the same lan. And now, the actress will be seen in a rocker chick look in Yash Raj Films latest production, Mere Brother Ki Dulhan.

The makers of Mere Brother.. have spent extravagantly on the attire of Katrina in the film. According to the reports, actress herself was extensively involved in developing the look in the film. Though the director was apprehensive about looks at start, the masses who had gathered at the time of shooting of Dhunki song appreciated Katrina for her rocker chick avatar.

Yash Raj Films have always taken special interest in the appearance of their leading ladies, be it Madhuri Dixits sober yet sexy attire in Dil To Pagal Hai or Aishwarya Rais sporty avatar in Dhoom-2. Now they have again hit the jackpot with Kats rocker chick thing.

A candle with no fire who would have thought

Recently I got the most wonderful gift. It was something called a wickless candle. Imagine a candle except without any fire and that’s what a Scentsy warmer is. You simply put a cube of wax in the top of that and plug it into the wall and a small 35 W bulb melts the wax and releases wonderful fragrance throughout the house. The wax doesn’t even really get very hot I could put my finger in it and while it did feel warm to the touch did not cause any damage. I feel a lot better using this type of candle in my house with the kids in it. I was always worried before that a candle might fall over or start a fire or what sort of fumes or ashes could be coming off of it. Now with scentsy I get tons of choices for what fragrance I want without any of the worries that a traditional candle brings. I guess you learn something new everyday.
